Update 30.05.2026 If you have checked the “Race Results” page and the “Calendar” page, you will see i have not yet managed to get SYP61 dirtied up for 2026. Sadly with the reasonably good rain falls each month early into 2026, two meetings were cancelled and I missed the second meeting due to health issues. Now as I type, the long range weather forecast for June is looking very grave for kicking up the dust at the next meeting, on the 7th of June. Now I’m happy for the farmers who have been very busy seeding the paddocks and hopefully the wet has slowed down the mouse problem but, SYP61 and its driver are champing at the bit. Anyway many members and myself have nominated to race in Round 4 on the 7th of June and our are fingers crossed that we will either get dirty, and muddy, or just get to watch Night Thunder from the comfort of our recliners, in front of the Television. Update 06.06.2026 Well so much for getting dusty or muddy, another weeks worth of rain on Yorke Peninsular and the track is too wet and the surroundings are muddy. The Cancelation notice came through late Friday arvo as I headed back from Adelaide into dark, damp storm clouds, and persistent rain, so the cancellation is unfortunately justified, and now as I peruse the Television guide, there seems to be no Night Thunder scheduled for this weekend either. Cheers.

Update 24.06.2026 an update appeared on Facebook from the SYPDC Clubs author showing some photos of our Dirt Circuit track located at Brentwood S.A. or should I say our Swamp. Yes under all that water was a Dirt circuit track, the ducks certainly like it. With more rain forecast for the start of July it would be safe to say our members will sadly be facing another meeting cancellation Sunday July 5th 2026.
